S.L. Ross- Spellbound- The Immortal Island

What an absolutely amazing book from start to finish. A fast paced read that draws you in to S.L. Ross's world of paranormal fantasy. I just finished the first and i have already started the second book in the series. Has a few characters to fall in love with. Can't wait to see what the next book has in store. "Throne of Glass" - Sarah J Maas

"Throne of Glass" written by Sarah J Maas.

This title was recommend to me by my friend Roz. This book was great. I enjoyed start to finish it was a great summer afternoon style book. If you are looking for a book that has action, a supernatural flare, a kick-ass strong female lead character that can take care of herself look no further this is the book for you.

"Red Queen" - Victoria Aveyard

Red Queen" written by Victoria Aveyard.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I picked up this book. I rarely read the blurb of books. It just gives away to much of what going to happen. It takes away the element of surprise.

So unless the book is recommended or an author I'm already familiar with or a title I have heard about I never truly know exactly what I am getting. This was the case with this title.

When I started this book at first I had a hard time to get into. Aveyard introduces a new world and the set up was not very detailed and was a bit underdeveloped in my opinion. So it took me a little awhile to grasp what was going on and to understand this new world. Once I got past the first few chapters it really picked up. The end had a huge plot twists and it blew my mind. I mean WOW I didn't see that coming at all again WOW !!!! Overall a great read just get past the first few chapters and it will pick up.

If you are looking for a quick read that will leave you wanting more with a supernatural twist, an underdog you can cheer for, and an amazing twist, than this probably what you want.

Amityville Horror - Jay Anson

"Amityville Horror" written by Jay Anson. A friend of mine years ago was reading this book. She had said at the time it was amazing although she was not much of a reader herself this book really captured her interest. So I made a note (added it to my to be read pile) to myself to read it one day so I could see what type of books interested her for recommendation purposes(I am a Library and Information Technician Student, so I am always looking at ways to improve my genre readers advisory skills). 

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. A quick read one that really captured and held your attention. There is a lot of action, it is certainly a fast paced read.  I now understand why she was so into it. She appreciates books in general that are you extremely fast paced and she need a story that grabs her attention and keeps it. If that sounds like your style than this is a great book for you.

This book is a best-selling true story, its about a house that has been possessed by evil spirits.

A book a day keeps reality away

So here we go.......
I am starting this as I will be soon going in for surgery and will have a lot of free time. I am planning on reading a lot of books over the next few months. I keeping this record mainly for a few friends and my beautiful younger cousins.
